My name is Oliver Gray. I am a technical writer by day, beer drinker by night, and apprentice to a powerful wizard whose name must not be mentioned for mystical and legal reasons. I hold an MA in Nonfiction Writing from Johns Hopkins, which grants me student-debt related superpowers.
I brew, drink, and write about beer, preferably in that order. I don’t review beers; I appraise them. This blog is just like Antiques Road Show, except all of the appraisers are drunk, making puns about diastatic power and lupulin.
I’m also a journeyman of the fine craft of wordsmithing. I’m still many hammer blows away from reforging the shards of Narsil, but I’m committed to squeezing the bellows and tending the forge. If I’m not waxing incoherent about beer, I’ll be discussing writing, drafting, revision, and archaism of diction.
A fellow blogger (and very talented writer) Elizabeth Marro managed to put up with me long enough to cobble together a delightful interview.
